Are you interested in working with children? Do you want to make an impact in their lives? If so, we hope you will consider becoming a Spruce Run kid worker!
Kid workers provide supportive, age-appropriate activities for the children whose mothers are working with Spruce Run. They supervise the children during several weekly kid groups, and also provide mentorship and positive role models for kids who are going through a tough time.
We have a kid worker training coming up in the middle of January, and we hope you will contact us if you are interested. For more information on the program, or to let us know you’d like to take part, visit our volunteer page. Students with work-study hours are also welcome to apply.
Have you been wanting to get involved with Spruce Run? To make a difference in the lives of families impacted by abuse? Perhaps you want to spend some of your time volunteering, or maybe you are a student looking to use your work-study funds or internship hours.
If any of these things sound familiar, then keep reading….Spruce Run’s hotline training starts in January!
The training begins January 21 and the group meets for six weeks on Monday and Thursday nights. After training is complete, volunteering is flexible, with night, weekend, and weekday shift opportunities available.
Check out the volunteer flier for more information–and feel free to distribute it for others to see. If hotline training sounds right for you, visit our volunteer page and fill out the online form!
