Skip to main contentDomestic violence or abuse…
It isn’t an occasional fight or even just a nasty argument.
It is a pattern of physical, verbal, or sexual threats or aggression used by one partner to control the other.
Abuse can range from emotional torment like name-calling and isolation, to harassment like stalking and intimidation, to violence and physical harm.
It affects every community; women and men; people of any age, ability, faith, or ethnic background; people who are rich or poor, highly educated or not.
If you’re concerned about your situation – or what’s going on in the life of someone you care about – give our hotline a call: 1.800.863.9909.
Whether you’ve left, are thinking about leaving, or want to stay with your partner, we’ll offer support and help you think through your options.
When you call, we can…
The hotline is free, and confidential – and you can call us anonymously. Family members, friends, co-workers, or other service providers… you’re welcome and encouraged to call the hotline for support and information too – and to find out how you can help someone you care about.
If you are in immediate danger, please call 911.
During the day, someone will answer your call directly. After hours, or on weekends or holidays, you’ll reach our answering service. They’ll ask for your first name and phone number, and a Spruce Run hotline worker will call you back within 15 minutes.
Can’t get through during business hours? Call 207.945.5102, and ask to talk to a hotline worker.
